GreatHost supports multiple game types and applications beyond Minecraft. Here's how to set up and manage Valheim and Node.js servers.
Valheim

Creating a Valheim Server
Select Valheim
Choose "Valheim" from the available game server options.
Configure World Settings
Set your server name, world name, and password. Choose whether to make it public.
Launch Server
Deploy your server. It will cost 10 coins per day and support up to 10 players.

Creating a Node.js Server
Select Node.js
Choose "Node.js" from the server creation options.
Choose Plan
Select between the standard plan (5 coins/day) or the free plan (0 coins, manual renewal).
Configure Application
Set your main file (usually index.js), specify any NPM packages, and configure Git repository if using auto-deployment.
Upload Your Code
Use the file manager to upload your Node.js application files, or connect a Git repository for automatic deployment.
Start Application
Launch your server. It will run Node.js 21 with either automatic renewal (paid plan) or manual renewal (free plan).

General Server Management
Common Features
All game servers share these management features:
- Console Access: Start, stop, restart, and send commands
- File Manager: Upload, download, and edit server files

Server Lifecycle
Active State
Server runs normally and consumes coins daily based on the game type.
Cancellation
Click "Cancel" to suspend the server and stop coin consumption.
Automatic Deletion
Cancelled servers are automatically deleted after a few days.
Reinstalling Servers
To reinstall any game server:
- Access the server settings page
- Find the "Reinstall Server" option
- Confirm the action (this will wipe all data)
- Wait for the fresh installation to complete
